Wiltshire Farm Foods have been cooking and delivering delicious frozen meals for over 25 years.
Part of the apetito group, an award winning leading food producer for the health and social care sector, providing delicious, nutritious and sustainable meals for people at home or in care.
The Franchise in Northern Ireland was established in 2003 and we are looking to add a delivery driver to our franchise.
The role of our Delivery Driver is critical to the success of our business. Our customers are predominantly elderly and rely upon our delivery drivers to deliver their meals as quickly and efficiently as possible. As such you must genuinely enjoy meeting people and exceeding customer service standards, and always be willing to go above and beyond what is expected.
The defining characteristics of our Delivery Drivers are organisation and efficiency. The most important attributes are that we demonstrate empathy, patience, kindness, friendliness, care and warmth to all our customers. You may also provide holiday or absence cover for other members of the team.
The role involves the delivery of customer orders. These deliveries are particularly important as many customers live alone and the deliveries, they receive are often the only contact they may have in a single day - many customers become very attached to their “friends” at Wiltshire Farm Foods.
We operate a 7-day week service, employing a successful team comprised of customer service staff, cold store staff and drivers alongside the management team.
The post is exempt from the rehabilitation of offenders act, due to our work with the elderly and vulnerable members of society and is subject to an enhanced Access NI check.
Responsibilities:
- Be an ambassador for the company in delivering exceptional customer service at all times.
- Undertake pre-shift inspection of your van
- Driving style to be damage free and economical
- Clean and refuel your van as and when needed
- Ensure that the vehicle is in a safe and roadworthy condition
- Make deliveries in a timely manner and contact the office with any discrepancies or delays
- Customer confidentially
- Participate in team meetings and training
- Reporting any noticeable deterioration in the wellbeing of the customer
- Growing the rounds by finding new prospects and customers
- Report any no reply/ no Reponses
- Most of all – the role of a WFF delivery driver is to be a trusted friend of all our customers
- To collect cash and cheque payments
- To ensure each customer is provided with “exemplary” service on each delivery
- To actively take an interest in the products we sell and promote the benefits of WFF healthy and nutritious meals to all our customers
Experience & qualifications:
Essential:
- Good attendance and timekeeping
- Numerate and literate
- Experience of multi-drop delivery role
- Full UK Driving License
- All offers will be subject to an enhanced Access NI check
Desirable:
- Experience within a customer service or care-based role
- Experience working with this client group
- Health & Safety training
Personal Qualities:
We are keen to promote excellent team work by employing people who have a positive (can do) attitude, who are prepared to learn a number of rounds so that they are able to work across various areas within the Coleraine franchise.
Staff are employed and trained to be multi-functional and to be capable of carrying out numerous functions should this be required when a fellow member of staff is away or absent.

The Role:
- 16-24 hours per week.
- £10.51 per hour
- Work schedule will be discussed at interview
