The MRC Unit for Lifelong Health and Ageing at UCL is an integral component of the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences (https://www.ucl.ac.uk/cardiovascular/research/population-science-and-experimental-medicine/mrc-unit-lifelong-health-and-ageing-ucl). Key to the work of the Unit is detailed, non-invasive imaging and phenotyping of large population cohorts and patients to understand the underlying mechanisms of older age disease, with a focus on cardiometabolic disease.
We wish to appoint to a full time position, till March 2024, in the first instance, in the Institute of Cardiovascular Science (http://www.ucl.ac.uk/cardiovascular). The appointee will join an exciting programme of work funded jointly by the British Heart Foundation. We have been funded to understand mechanisms underlying diseases of ageing, focussing on cardiovascular (heart failure, stroke) disease. This post will provide clinical support to the research programme conducted by the group. The post holder will provide essential clinical support to the group by contacting and recruiting study members. In addition to clinic work, the role will require database maintenance, post-processing of the data and upkeep of equipment. Please see the job description for full details.
The post would suit someone whose background is in research with experience of working with the general public in a clinical setting.
