Quality Engineer

Location: London based with flexibility to work from home 3 days per week and 2 days in the London office.
Salary & Benefits: £61,176 to £76,470 base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

LBG Labs:
Lloyds Banking Group are transforming the way we do Engineering. We’ve created “Platforms” and we're building multi-functional, co-located teams giving them freedom to bring technology to the forefront of our business. This will help us create new, and improve existing, products and services to help us really make a difference to our customers.
Everyday Banking is a key platform for Lloyds Banking Group with a very broad reach across the Bank’s customer base and a diverse stakeholder group. The platform is responsible for the end-to-end journeys for personal current accounts and savings products to consumers, and providing a market leading customer experience through the servicing of Debit and Credit cards through multiple channels. The platform also includes the Core Banking System and Vault Banking Products labs who support the run and change needed to operate all core banking products for the LBG brands, product APIs, transaction and statement services that are needed for channel interactions.
About the Role:
As a Quality Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving quality software solutions into production.
You’ll be continually challenged, motivated, mentored and supported and help define “Done” from a Quality perspective and deliver Test solutions in line with the Test Strategy and our QA Engineering principles.
So what would you be doing for us?
Create Test artefacts in line with an agreed Test Strategy, writing automation Test scripts against user stories and maintaining Test traceability.
A focus on reducing risk and building confidence in the team and its stakeholders on the quality definition of the product.
Identifying defects and working with the feature team to provide fixes preventing defect leakage. Helping to capture lessons learnt to prevent similar issues in the future.
Working closely with the feature team, Ensure that Testing is conducted in a way which is consistent with - and exploits the collective frameworks, patterns and best practices that exist across the wider Test community.
Open to new “thought process” and Change mindset, bring in new ways of working/ innovative and creative ways of delivering “Quality” Enabling a consistent process throughout the QE Guild.
What we need from you:
Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering background with a deep knowledge of Test Lifecycle, Test Frameworks, Best Practices, Automation Testing and Test Tools.
Experience of working in a dynamic agile team Testing web & mobile applications.
An automation first Test approach with a passion for driving productivity and a focus on reducing risk by producing quality deliverables.
Proficient experience with toolsets including Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, Blazemeter, Jenkins, Jira, Docker, Kubernetes and QC
Technical background with experience of Programming Languages including JavaScript, Java, SQL/noSQL, Python and Unix Shell.
Experience in testing APIs & Microservices on cloud platforms.
