We develop and manufacture naturally biodegradable packaging solutions, made from seaweed and plants. We are currently looking to bring in a Production Associate to help us in our pursuit of manufacturing excellence. You will work within our in house production facility, focussing mainly on our flagship product the Ooho.

The manufacturing group within Notpla is responsible for creating our innovative and unique range of products. In particular, the team is tasked with the in-house production of our flagship Ooho product. They are led by our Director of Development & Manufacturing, who has years of experience leading the development of sustainable packaging alternatives. The team is incredibly dynamic, owning a flexible approach to problem-solving that allows them to flourish with this new and exciting product technology. They are a group that celebrate change and have a constant desire to push the process and capabilities of their products forward. As a Production Associate you will be responsible for the day to day production needs of the business, working mainly with our bespoke, unique Ooho machines but also taking on other manufacturing responsibilities across our films and rigid materials products.
We are looking for a hard working and determined individual, someone who is willing to adapt to the flexible nature of our production requirements. We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 2 years experience in a food manufacturing environment, this is an opportunity to join a fledgling group and carve out a career for yourself. Alongside the day to day running of our Ooho production machines, you will also have the opportunity to learn novel production techniques such as press moulding and heat sealing. Other day to day responsibilities will include:
- Day to day management of the Ooho production lines.
- Machinery upkeep and general operation duties in the production facility.
- Adherence to strict food hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Upkeep of the production facility.
- Liaise with the engineering and maintenance team to ensure pre planned and reactive maintenance can take place in a safe and clean environment.
- Work alongside the warehouse and logistics team to ensure stock is well maintained and stored in a safe way.
- Adherence to production plan, using strict time keeping to ensure on time delivery.
- General clearing of the production and manufacturing space.
