Summary
This key position is responsible for managing, planning, directing, organizing, and developing UK manufacturing capabilities in line with the group requirements and executing its strategic plan for manufacturing excellence.
Essential Functions
- Drives continuous improvement in environmental compliance, health, and safety through adherence to established safe operating procedures, elimination of PCC Prohibited Practices, and implementation of 6S concepts.
- Drives quality improvements through traditional Quality Assurance/Quality Control activities, audits, and root cause analysis utilising Zero Defect Program tools. Holds team members accountable for the output of their respective roles.
- Ensures compliance to all established company and corporate policies, procedures, and statutory instruments that are applicable to the sites including SOX.
- Oversees all manufacturing operations, gives direction, resolves problems, and sets deadlines to assure that all company manufacturing objectives are met.
- Maintains a Productivity pipeline of projects to close gap between current state and fiscal targets.
- Reviews financial and budgetary reports, cost data, to assure plant operations meet company profitability and financial objectives. Responsible for plant achieving agreed metrics.
- Monitors production requirements and production processes to ensure customer delivery dates are met.
- Identifies, analyses, and plans for plant capital needs and completes capital requests in accordance with corporate requirements. Maintains a 3-year capital plan.
- Assists in developing and implementing manufacturing labour policies.
- Assists in determining manufacturing manning and employment levels.
- Organises the workforce to meet company labour objectives.
- Keeps abreast with metals industry state of the art and technological advancements to assist the company in maintain its manufacturing efficiency and competitive ability.
- Supervises, directs, and evaluates the job performance of all direct reports within the manufacturing organisation.
- Makes presentations, conducts meetings, and communicates with all levels of the corporation pertaining to manufacturing-related activities.
- Shares best practices within the organisation.
- Leads by example, instilling skillsets and mind-sets, in order to drive continuous improvement; coaches and develops employees; leads cross-functional teams.
- Assists all teams as needed to ensure improvements are made and sustained.
- Performs all aspects of the position according to the PCC Code of conduct and in accordance with SOX requirements.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (Engineering, Material Science, and Manufacturing Management) or equivalent management, technical experience in a like industry such as powdered or revert metals, steel or investment casting.
- Five years’ experience in progressively responsible manufacturing positions is required; previous experience managing and mentoring direct reports required.

This position will be based in UK but will require regular travel to other Revert facilities worldwide.
