The role of Loss Operations Manager involves identifying exceptions in stock and cash transactional systems (all channels) that indicate non-malicious loss and provide both routine and ad-hoc reports to provide insight that compels action to mitigate or investigate the losses or, where appropriate, to stand up and manage internal projects to deliver these changes. Reporting to the Senior Fraud Operations Manager you will be tasked to manage the delivery of key control processes in all channels and deliver essential management reports according to the schedule and catalogue.
Responsibilities:
- Using expertise in stock and payment systems and business processes, alongside rigorous analysis of data, producing effective exception reporting and recommending appropriate mitigating actions
- Acting as a point of governance for stock and cash integrity and providing clear and effective feedback to stakeholders throughout the business on processes and propositions that generate high levels of loss alongside recommendations for improvements
- Managing, maintaining and developing our Azure environment so that we can that deliver routine KPI and total retail loss modelling
- Identifying new datasets and introducing them with relevant UAT Testing, ensuring the data is maintained in a streamlined and effective manner
- Interrogating data from our total loss model to identify emerging cash and stock risks and using data to present back to stakeholders within the business so that corrective actions can be taken
- Taking the department lead in process related projects, UAT Testing for new releases where stock or payments may be affected
- Managing key control processes such as stock audit and banking systems to deliver compliance with the control framework
- Having direct interaction with systems or contracted third party services, completing all routine system and maintenance tasks that correct anomalies for cash, stock and customer transactions
- Acting as the product owner for our Azure environment, working with I.T. teams to bring additional useful sets of data into the system and ensuring best practices are adhered to across the department
You will have:
- Previous experience within a loss prevention role preferred
- Knowledge and experience of stock and payments within an omni-channel environment
- Strong SQL/Python knowledge and ETL processes
- Excellent IT skills
- Financial understanding, numerate and mathematically proficient
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills
- Knowledge of Azure/Databricks preferred
