Job Description
We’re a Reading based digital agency specialising in designing and developing websites and web apps, whilst also working on digital marketing and branding projects for a variety of exciting clients. We’re looking for a graduate seeking to get into the industry and join our small team, work closely with our director and support the wider team with project delivery.
As an organisation we have won awards for our development of apprentices, and have taken on a number of interns and placement students to assist with their studie or gear them up for working in the professional world of design and development. We’re active in our community and are honoured to work with some fantastic brands, from global names and exciting startups to local heroes.
The role will involve a mix of project management, user experience strategy, digital marketing, and general administration and support. The core of the role will have you shadowing the leader of the business, a design thinker with a background in development and vast experience delivering end-to-end websites, digital marketing campaigns and brand projects. You’ll support the director as we develop initial briefs, scope and spec work, schedule and plan it out, then deliver the projects.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with technology and for the creative and technical fields of design and development - be it through websites or marketing. As a company we are investing in AI tools and have a focus on automation in the business, and although these aren’t the focus of the role, we would like the candidate to be involved in the development of these tools as we integrate them into the business to assist in our work.
Working closely with the director, your responsibilities will include:
- Helping build the initial brief, scope and strategy for a project build.
- Writing functional specifications and team briefs based on agreed scopes and guidelines
- Creation of tasks and briefs for the projects and team based on agreed schedules and plans
- Site Mapping and requirements gathering
- Preparing and executing digital marketing strategies (Including SEO, Paid advertising, social media and data analytics and reporting)
- Creating and managing the internal social media schedule, including working with the team to prepare and publish content across our social channels
- General ad-hoc administrative tasks

To excel in this role, you’ll need the following:
- Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication.
- Critical thinker - Problem solving skills
- Competent user of word processing/spreadsheet applications - especially Google Workspace
- Quick and adept at picking up new software
- Process driven thinker and careful planner
- Close eye for details
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
And ideally you’ll have these attributes
- Passion for how technology works and can play a positive role in people's lives.
- Background/Degree in marketing, computer science, art or design fields
- Empathic - able to understand from others points of view
- Some Extracurricular creative pursuits
