Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for an IT Technician Apprentice with Clocking Systems, a Time and Attendance software provider based in Leeds.
Job Description:
Due to continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Software Support Technician to join our team. This role involves minimising service disruption by providing support and maintenance of cloud-based services, and Windows Desktop Application based services, supporting systems through the ownership and resolution of Tickets and over the phone.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
- Respond to logged and escalated tickets including the acceptance and investigation through to work around or resolution, always keeping the customer informed of progress.
- Investigate, analyse and problem solve problems using SQL Management Studio and other diagnostic tools and methodologies.
- Conduct root cause analysis on identified problems and investigate potential permanent fixes.
- Provide input to knowledge base documentation based on support ticket trends and issues.
- Make recommendations for best practice changes.
- Carrying out remote software installations, system upgrades and training remotely.
- Accurately log fixes and causes of problems on ticket resolution.
Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
Skills Required:
- Experience with Windows.
- Some understanding of Databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer Service Skills.
- Some understanding of basic networking.
Personal qualities:
- Have a commitment to learning and strong desire to develop new skills and knowledge.
- An ability to work effectively both individually and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Able to adapt quickly to different systems and processes.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload and meet deadlines.

- Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
- Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance
- Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
- Support the information systems needs for your business.
