Job description:
To be suitable you will be an IT graduate with some exposure to providing 1st/2nd line support within a Windows environment. The ideal candidate will have a clear passion for IT, excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving ability. As a 1st Line Engineer, you will have a good understanding of supporting customers directly and have an eagerness to learn. You will report directly to the IT Manager and have multiple opportunities to grow and develop your skills.
Your principal duties will include but not limited to:
· Systems & performance monitoring on a daily basis
· Providing 1st Line support to users via email, phone and remote
· Administration and support of Windows operating systems, phone systems & bespoke ERP system
· Install hardware and peripheral components like disk drives, printers, keyboards and monitors etc.
· Install, maintain and support new applications on Desktops and Laptops
· Providing support for company provided mobile devices & printers
· Customize and adapt current programs to meet end-user requirements
· Provide End User training where required
· Ensure Assets are disposed of in accordance with the WEEE directive
· Troubleshoot software and hardware failures and determine network problems
· Troubleshoot through phone hardware and software and engage technical resources to resolve
· Diagnose and resolve incidents using documented procedures to perform responsibilities
· Ensure Backup processes are operational and testing carried out on a monthly basis
· Export CCTV footage as and when needed
· Providing support for Mac OS
· Log Tickets on email and follow through to resolution
· Receive and prioritize issues and forwards using escalation procedures
· Update on status to manager and users through voice mail, email and in-person communication
· Contribute to policies, processes and procedures
· Other Ad-Hoc duties as required
Qualifications and Skills:
· Basic Knowledge of Windows Server 2016
· Basic Knowledge of Windows 10 Pro
· A+/Server+ qualification and/or related degrees a must
· Excellent collaboration and communication/interpersonal skills
· Self-Starter with strong customer service ethics and sense of urgency
· Quick turnaround on instructions or requests from Senior Management
· Excellent Team Player
· Ability to remain calm and collected under pressure
· Ability to deliver and coordinate projects within tight deadlines. General understanding of project management methodologies
· Excellent problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn and an interest in technology
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task. A proactive, flexible and adaptable approach
· Ability to work outside of standard working hours and weekends as and when required
· Must be able to start immediately
- Must have a Drivers License + Car
Working Hours:
· Mon-Fri (9am to 6pm)
· Alternate Saturdays (9am to 2pm)
6 Month Probation Period
Salary is subject to increase for the right candidate

As we are a key essential business the role is based onsite but will also be required to go to our other depot(s) outside London depending on requirements.
