Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Home
Salary: £30,780 - £ 33,800 per annum (£13.50 per hour - £14.00 per hour) include 6-7 sleeps per month paid at £50 per sleep

Haven Care Group are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the Management team within a Children’s Residential Home in the Birmingham area. This role is full time, with a requirement to work shifts on a 1 day on 2 day off pattern, and to carry out between 6-7 sleep in shifts every month.

To be successful as a Deputy Manager with HCG, you will need to possess the following essential attributes:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with Young People that live with Learning Disabilities and Neurological Disorders or are Neuro-Diverse.
- A Certified Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young Peoples Workforce) or equivalent.
- Experience in leading and supervising a team within a Residential Child Care setting
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Ability to work shifts and sleep in the home overnight
As a Deputy Manager you will be responsible for a range of duties as set out below:
- To deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
- To assist the Registered Manager in the implementation of all aspects of the Statement of Purpose
- To work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people. To offer supervision and support to senior staff in line with Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
- Attending childcare reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve best outcomes for young people
- Undertaking direct work with young people and acting as an appropriate role model.
- Assist in developing systems in which young people are consulted about the quality of care they receive
- Working in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people.
- Chairing children’s meetings and facilitating consultation with young people generally
