Role: Chef de Partie (Full Time - 40 hours per week)
Salary: £26,000 per annum based on a full time 40 hours per week contract.
Accommodation: Staff accommodation available if required
About Us
Rockliffe Hall is an AA-rated 5 red star resort in the north of England and is set within 375 acres outside the village of Hurworth, near Darlington in County Durham. We aim to provide an outstanding personalised service to each guest who stays, spas, golfs and dines and with us, acknowledging special occasions and making them memorable for all guests. We are currently seeking a Chef de Partie to join our Team Rockliffe in our Orangery Restaurant.
The Role
The main responsibilities of the Chef de Partie role will be (but not limited to):
- Monitor the quality and presentation of all food served to ensure that it is up to Rockliffe standard
- Plan and place orders to selected food suppliers on a daily and weekly basis to ensure stock availability
- Check all fridges to ensure they are stocked with the necessary ingredients in preparation for service and highlight any stock shortages to a senior chef
- Be able to meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure, to willingly undertake any tasks when requested by a senior member of the team
- Be creative in order to help with suggestions on new menus and dish ideas
- Train, coach and aid the development of junior chefs within the kitchen
