Job Description

Are you a strong administrator with at least 1 year of experience of working within a Buying team?

Looking for a role where you can both assist in the development of new ranges and support our foreign offices to deliver quality sample & bulk merchandise on time?

Do you want to build a fulfilling career within a motivated and hard-working Buying team?

If so, we have an opportunity for a Buying Coordinator to join our Buying Team here at Dare2b.

The Impact you will have in this role is:

Research & Development

  • Fabric. trim, packaging and samples are prepared for handover to Asia colleagues for development.
  • Sourcing timetable is completed to agreed deadlines, under Junior buyers' supervision.
  • Fabric and trim libraries are maintained.

Development & Sampling Programme

  • All samples are delivered on time, working closely with the foreign offices under buyers' supervision.
  • The salesman sample programme is progressed promptly & to the corporate calendar deadlines, managed through Skype.
  • The foreign offices are overseen to ensure sample fabric & garment ordering is completed.
  • The sampling critical path is monitored to ensure on time delivery of samples.
  • Lab dips, prints and marls are approved and managed.

Product Support

  • All bullet point info for trade brochures & swing-tickets are checked, cross referencing fabric & garment
  • performance.
  • The photography sample program is coordinated with the foreign offices and marketing team.

Buying / Margin

  • All buying programmes and other buying documentations are generated & maintained to the deadlines set by the Buyer, working alongside foreign offices.
  • Garment costings are prepared for the buying trip, working alongside the Buyer.
  • Foreign offices are worked with to negotiate accessory trims and zippers and update buying programmes.
  • Garment pricing records are maintained throughout the season and pricing reports are spot checked.
  • Sustainability records are maintained alongside Xiamen throughout the season.

Purchasing

  • Foreign offices product set up is completed at the start of the buying season.
  • Foreign offices review factory loading and resolve any issues with the buyer.
  • Purchasing invoices to be signed off are checked.

Efficiency and Communication

  • The corporate calendar is understood and deadlines relating to buying function are met.

As our future Buying Coordinator you will have:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working in a buying team
  • Understanding of Asia cultures
  • Experience of liaising with Product Development & Design team.
  • Great organisational skills.
  • A fast learner.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
  • Strong admin skills.
  • Understanding of Asia cultures beneficial.
  • Computer literate – especially excel & power point
  • Knowledge of PLM advantageous or similar software packages but not essential.
