Dandara Living is recruiting an Assistant Site Manager to support the site team at our prestigious Unity & Armouries site which will be followed up by our Warners Field development in Digbeth guaranteeing a continiuity of work.
About the role
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Assistant Site Manager has the responsibility for assisting the management of all aspects of a construction development site, ensuring the provision of safe, efficient and cost-effective works at all times while maintaining the highest quality of work and customer service are delivered within the given timescales.
What you will do:
- Co-design and co-ordinate the temporary site accommodation/ welfare facilities set-up.
- Liaise with Building/Environmental Control, Health & Safety Inspectors, Statutory and Local Authorities, Consultants, and Contracts managers/surveyors during any work changes and/or progress.
- Liaise and report to the Project Manager on overall project management issues, including programme, resourcing, health & safety, quality and cost issues etc in line with company procedures.
- Arrange, attend and chair regular progress review meetings with subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments.
- Control site activities, organise differing trades, and instruct the workforce.
- Manage delivery checks, and ensure correct storage, distribution and waste minimisation.
- Attend and contribute to subcontract post-tender and pre-order meetings.
What you will have:
Essential
- Residential experience with ideally high rise city centre projects.
- Ability to plan, communicate at all levels, people manage/motivate and meet deadlines.
- Excellent knowledge of construction buildability solutions.
- Passion for producing a high-quality product.
- Experience in budget planning, chairing meetings
- Ability to control and drive site operations throughout the construction process.
