About the role
Are you a multi-skilled trade operative looking for a role working across residential care homes and schools? Then look no further!
A Maintenance Technician’s role is to ensure the premises and equipment are maintained to a high standard to provide all employees and residents with a safe, comfortable, and pleasant environment.
Painting and decorating, basic joinery, basic plumbing, and basic electrics.-
Weekly maintenance activities across sites including but not limited to: Replacement doors, Glazing, bathroom fittings.

Annual checks PAT across all sites

Fire door compliance checks

Ad hoc emergency works
-
Project Works
-
Call out Rota.

Experience
-
Proven experience working as a Maintenance Technician is essential
-
Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
-
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
-
Experience in a health and social care setting is desirable but the right attitude and willingness to understand the needs of supporting our homes is essential
Additional requirements

Flexibility to cover business needs

A problem-solver with exceptional communication and organisational skills, and attention to detail

Ability to work autonomously and responsibly

Willingness to work occasional evening or weekends depending on the home’s requirements and be on call for emergencies

A full driving licence is essential

Basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems

Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques
