Salary: £23,847

Location: Islington - N1 9QZ

Weekly Hours: are based on the following shifts; 8AM to 4PM or 10AM to 6PM or 2PM to 10PM (Monday to Sunday)


What we’re looking for:

  • Do you have a passion for providing one to one support to help people move towards a more independent life?

  • Do you have an understanding of Mental Health and the support which may be required?

  • Do you have understanding of how you might support our customers manage their tenancy such as applying for benefits or maintaining their property?

  • Do you have the right values and empathy to work with a vulnerable client group?
  • Are you able to work shifts over a seven day period and make a difference within an amazing team?

Here at Peabody, we have a number of opportunities in the role of Support Worker on a Permanent basis at our Islington Scheme.

A bit about the role:

As a Support Worker, you will deliver high quality and effective support services, which promote the independence, wellbeing and inclusion of customers whilst complying with Peabody’s policies and procedures and the principles of best practice. Some of the key results for the role include:

  • Working with our customers in a person centred, recovery focused and trauma informed way.
  • Carrying out needs and risk assessment, complete support plans, provide support along with carrying out regular reviews.
  • Supporting customers to sustain their housing and identify and move onto housing which best meets their needs.
  • Liaising promptly with colleagues, partner agencies and other stakeholders regarding safeguarding, welfare, and risk concerns.
  • Being comfortable working autonomously as well as in a group setting.
  • Proactively researching and promoting local resources to customers, working with internal and external services.
  • Demonstrating excellent time management skills and prioritising tasks effectively while maintaining a high level of attention to details.

This role will require a Enhanced DBS check
