Job Description
We are looking for a Virtual Assistant to join our team and provide administrative support to the Academic Director.
As this is a startup and you'll be working closely alongside the Academic Director, the ideal candidate will have the chance to get involved in practically all operational aspects of the business. As we are a language training startup, preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a true passion for languages and language learning, as well as working with startups.
This is a freelance role. There may be anything from 30 minutes to 4 hours per weekday depending on workload.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing emails and telephone calls, setting and completing tasks, interviewing potential freelance teachers for work, speaking to inbound prospects about the services we provide (full training given), and other administrative tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and a keen eye for detail. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised, and has a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Writing and responding to emails from clients, teachers and other stakeholders.
- Telephoning clients and teachers on occasion if required.
- Assigning, organising and completing tasks via our task management system.
- Maintenance of the CRM, Tutor management system, finance system and other records (spreadsheets etc) and ensuring all information is recorded, updated and accurate at all times.
- Interviewing potential freelance teachers for roles (full training will be given on this).
- Conducting discovery calls with prospects via telephone/Zoom/Teams (full training will also be given on this).
Requirements:
- Own PC with Microsoft Outlook Dropbox and Firefox.
- Must be prepared to meet via Teams in the morning each day during the week for a briefing with the Academic Director prior to starting work.
