Clinical Associate Psychologist (CAP) Apprentice

Payband/Grade

Hours

AfC Band 5, progressing to band 6 on successful completion of the end point assessment for the CAP Programme.

Full time (37.5 hrs).

Fixed-term post for 18 months. On successful completion of the course the post holder will transition to a permanent full-time band 6 CAPS role.

My job makes better lives bypromoting quality of life for people who use services by providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions, under the supervision of qualified practitioner psychologists, moving to independent working on completion of the CAPS training program.

Job OverviewTo undertake a structured programme of learning over a period of 18 months, including personal study, academic work, research, placement learning and assessment leading to the award of the MSc in Clinical Associate Psychology.

To support and enhance the professional psychological care of people who use services by providing psychological assessments, treatments, and other types of clinical intervention appropriate to this level of training with individual clients/groups, initially under weekly supervision, moving toward independent work as the course progresses. Conducting research activity.

We also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon and ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire.
