TJ Morris Limited trading as Home Bargains is a privately owned family run discount retailer selling top brands at the lowest possible price on the UK high street. Having started 45 years ago in Liverpool our customers continue to be at the heart of everything we do and throughout our 580 stores we have over 5 million customers each week. With plans to increase our store portfolio to 1,000 stores throughout the UK we are a fast-paced retailer opening 50 stores a year (nearly one every weekend) - and we wouldn't have it any other way!
Based at our purpose built, one million sq. ft. distribution centre at Amesbury, Wiltshire the site supports our plans to grow from 580 to 1,000 stores.
The site is one of the most advanced and highly automated distribution centres in the UK and runs 24/7.
The Warehouse Operative roles cover any 5 days out of 7, including weekends and available shifts include:
- Earlies - 6am - 2pm
- Lates – 2pm – 10pm
- Nights – 10pm – 6am
Suitable candidates will be reliable with a hands on approach to work.
General warehouse duties include using an automated system (caddy pick) to pick products onto cages to be dispatched to store. Other picking element includes Order Picking Units (OPUs), Pedestrian Picking, Secure Picking and manual handling, as well as being on your feet for the duration of your shift - you can expect to walk up to 12 miles per shift.
Opportunities at Home Bargains include progression into other areas of the warehouse including Voice Pick, Loading, Dekit, Goods In and more.

Minimum criteria to apply:
Good communication skills Reliable and punctual Able to work to targets Able to work well under pressure and to tight timeframes Available to work weekends as part of the normal shift pattern (on a 7 week rota which does include a mix of weekend and non-weekend working) Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided

- £11.13 per hour
- Plus £2.74 hourly night shift allowance (assigned to and working 10pm - 6am) equivalent to £13.87 per hour
- Overtime is paid at time and a half after 40 hours worked
