We urgently need three Hindu Temple Religious Worker.
The Hindu Temple Religious Worker should assist the priests by:
· keeping the deities housing and its drainage neat and tidy
· making garlands
· decorating the deities
· making pirasatham for the deities and devotees
· actively participating on various Temple rituals and functions conducted with special emphasis on Saivaism according to the traditions in Tamil Nadu (in India) and Ceylon (Sri Lanka).
· performing any other duties as required by the priests
The Hindu Temple Religious Worker will be expected to reside at the accommodation provided by us.
Qualifications and Skills:
Candidates should affirm their faith as a Hindu as the job role involves assisting in worshipping and performing Poojas for the Hindu Gods.
Candidates should have:
· At least three years’ training and experience in a similar role is essential with working knowledge of Hinduism with emphasis on Saivaism.
· Experience in participating in the planning and carrying out temple rituals Homam and wedding blessings
· Ability to build relationships and to work with religious worker from diverse backgrounds
· Ability to address on religious topics to devotees.
· Enthusiastic and positive attitude toward helping devotees in needs.
Candidates are expected to consider this role as a service to God.
