Project Manager - Electrification Distribution Solutions

Working within the Electrification, Distribution Solutions business this role will cover management of complex projects up to $40m with multiple supply chain interfaces external and internal. Projects delivered will contain Medium and Low voltage switchgear solutions and will include other ABB’s Electrification Products including Relays, Automation Systems and solutions, Indoor and outdoor Medium Voltage apparatus and sensors.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for achieving the Revenue and Gross Margin budgets on projects with the submission of accurate forecasts.
• Formulate project strategies in association with the UK Sales Manager and Product Market managers for the business portfolio.
• Managing of projects with multiple interfaces and supply chains – internal and external
• Following Enquiries through from order placement to site delivery.
• Conduct contract reviews to report performance
• Gather key delivery KPI’s and monitor for continuous improvement
• Ensure lessons learnt feedback to the sales team including other SS’s and Account Managers to ensure all the opportunity bases are covered leading to customer focus
• Ensure Collaboration with other ABB divisions to maximize the opportunity portfolio for ABB
• Achievement against set KPI’s and agreed personal objectives
• Ensure timely responses to business information and support requests
• Assist with input into Budgeting process

• Electrical background and knowledge.
• Relevant project management experience and qualification.
• Experience at delivering high levels of customer performance.
• Great communication skills.
• Ability to work to timescales and deadlines.
• Ability to demonstrate a “team” ethic.
• Good at managing supply chain internal and external.
• Creative approach to maximizing project efficiencies.
• A culture of Integrity.
• PC literate including MS Office, Excel, Word etc.
