Part Time Dental Receptionist
We are seeking a part time dental receptionist to join our team here at Darren Bywater Dental Care in Derby - (Wednesday/Thursday/Friday).
The successful candidate will be joining an experienced supportive practice team consisting of Receptionists, Dental Nurses, Lead Dental Nurses, Clinicians, Treatment Coordinators and Practice/Deputy Practice Managers.
You will ensure reception is organised efficiently and that patients / visitors are dealt with in a professional and courteous manner. Undertake administrative duties as required in an accurate and confidential manner.
Liaison with patients both face to face and over phone and deal with answer phone messages efficiently.
Making / re-scheduling dental appointments for each clinician ensuring that treatments are allocated to appropriate time slots.
Dealing with patient emergencies / triage / liaison with clinicians and book appointments.
Liaison with dentists / clinicians regarding lab work and following Practice procedures for ensuring lab work is sent to labs and returned in time for patient treatments.
Taking payments for treatment.
Completing the daily banking for the day.
Discussing registration with patients including payment plan options / registration for new patients and ensuring patient records are accurately recorded and kept up to date at all times.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to practice data security policy and procedures.
Salary: £10.18 - £10.42 per hour
Saturday rate of pay: Time and a half per hour
Salary scale reviewed annually
Hours:
Wednesday/Thursday/Friday - 08:45 – 17:45
Saturday (On Rotation) - 08:45 - 13:00
Plus over time available to cover holidays and sickness.
1 hour lunch break
Saturdays – We are currently open every other Saturday on rotation with staff.
Holiday entitlement:
Statutory annual + Public bank holidays

After 10 years’ service you will be entitled to 3 days additional holiday per year
