Barista/ Café Assistant
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team. For the role we are looking for a Front of House assistant for 37.5 hours a week over 5 days.
Thrift Farm offers a variety of business aspects from a Farm Park, Garden Centre and Adult Social care project. The on site catering includes a newly refurbished café with farm catering. We are currently developing our offering and am looking to turn our café into a higher-end café experience as well as developing and increasing our offering on the farm with carrying food choices therefore the role will be starting at an exciting point in the company and will have a say and be part of the new development.
The 5 working days would ideally be Sunday to Thursday, with the flexibility to work a Friday or Saturday when needed instead of their regular days.
The role involves:
- Serving customers, taking orders and processing payments.
- The making of a variety of beverages from Coffees to Milkshakes
- Clearing tables, washing up of the crockery and equipment and general cleaning of the café area.
- Providing an excellent customer experience and help build brand loyalty for the café.
The right candidate will:
- Have previous experience in a similar café/bar or restaurant environment
- Be competent with making a variety of drinks, with a good knowledge of coffee, alcoholic beverages.
- Demonstrate a passion and enjoyment for the work they do.
- Must be responsible, reliable and proactive within their attitude towards the working environment.
- Be self organized and able to carry out multiple tasks at once.
- Be flexible to their working patterns.
