Contract: Full-Time Hours / Permanent
Salary: £50,000+ (Circa)
About the Role…
Our Finance team is expanding, and we have an exciting new opportunity available for an Internal Controls Accountant to join EG Group! As part of the ‘Finance Process & Controls’ team, you will play a key part in helping EG Group to bring control, quality, standardisation, and improved ways of working.
Having grown rapidly in recent years, largely through a series of acquisitions, EG Group has inherited several different processes and systems from its acquired companies. The Internal Controls Accountant will play a vital role in measuring the performance of Finance Controls to ensure processes and controls follow set monthly cycles.
Reporting into the Head of Finance Process and Controls, you will be part of a team made up of circa 8 colleagues and will work alongside the existing BAU team members in management accounts and the shared services transactional team to understand pain points and create solutions that can be maintained long term.

Duties & Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive document reviews to ensure Internal Controls are followed in accordance with company established guidelines, policies & procedures
Conduct workshops to increase the level of awareness across the organization
Maintain a database for Internal Control recommendations and change management
Conduct periodical control assessments and monitor other departments self-assessment
Assure operating risks are mitigated and report deficient or ineffective controls
Manage, review, and maintain corporate control documents
Oversee the development of the Management Guide and Operational Manuals
Support implementation of risk controls for ensuring compliance with policies and procedures

Candidate Requirements
Experience and knowledge of Financial Controls
Ability to produce high quality Data Management documents
Proficient is all Microsoft Packages
Experience operating in a relatively complex business
Inventive and pro-active mind-set to independently identify and resolve data related issues
Chartered Accountant (Desirable)
Experience with SAP S4 Hana (Desirable)
Power BI experience (Desirable)
