Role: Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Blackburn, BB1 2FA – Office Based
Contract: Full-Time Hours / Permanent
Salary: £22,000 & Bonus Scheme
What will my role look like?
Our Transactional Finance Team is expanding and we have an exciting opportunity available for an Accounts Payable Clerk! In this role you will be part of the Accounts Payable Team and responsible for ensuring accurate and timely posting and payment of invoices.

What would my main responsibilities be?
Invoice Entry
Posting invoices / credit notes per business requests and ensuring they are coded correctly in the accounting system
Vendor master database maintenance
Reconciliation, Payments and Controls (RPC)
Pre-disbursement controls
Direct Debit monitoring
Balance sheet account reconciliation
Preparation of monthly supplier statement reconciliations
Monitoring of month end activities for accounts payable
Pro-active management of supplier accounts and monitoring of ageing
Communicating and liaising with suppliers to resolve any invoicing, payment or other queries
Monitor AP email inbox / ticketing system
Release of payment files, manual ad hoc payments
Other ad-hoc tasks as required
Support to clients, vendors
Communicating and liaising with suppliers to resolve any invoicing, payment or other queries
Cooperation with other departments
Liaising with the broader finance team and Team Leader to provide regular updated on daily/weekly and Monthly activities

Candidate Requirements
Finance / Accounting Qualification or experience within a finance role
Highly organised with strong attention to detail & accuracy
