PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This role will be responsible for the Industrialization of new processes and new formulae from the Research & Development laboratory and Process development plant into the factory environment.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support the manufacture of assigned Pilot Batches and conducting of filling trials, providing detailed reports and samples for relevant testing.
Conduct COSHH, RA and FMEA for new formula/products from conception to industrial pilots.
Partner with key functions –Process development and Manufacturing to continuously improve manufacturing methods.
Colour match lab batches, pilot bulk and support the factory in matching Production batches.
Manage and communicate NPD projects ensuring adherence to CPS.
To develop, agree and issue line running criteria for production of finished goods.
To be aligned with GLP, GMP and H&S and ensure they work within these guidelines
Report on root cause Investigation and problem solving when non-conformance or deviation to standards arise ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Data collection for KPI’s driving and communicating improvement plans.
Support Engineering, Manufacturing and Production during FAT and SAT for new equipment.
COTY IDEAL FIT
Experience in related industry – FMCG, Production, Pharmaceutical, Paint, Food. Degree/Diploma in cosmetic science preferred.
Has good knowledge of a wide range of formulation types, wax based, powder based and emulsion technology and knowledge of wide range of manufacturing vessels and production lines.
Experience in shade matching is required, as is a strong level of attention to detail.
Competent user of IT Systems – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and similar.
Understanding of SPC (statistical process control).
Thrive on challenge and able to maintain a healthy attitude under pressure.
Has the ability to manage multiple projects, focusing on priorities in a fast paced changing environment.
Flexible, has ability to multi-task and able to work in a fast paced environment.
