Tazaki Foods Ltd is currently recruiting for an Accountant on a full time basis, to work Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:30 with flexibility to work from home. The salary on offer is £30,000 per annum plus 28 days holidays including bank holidays (increasing up to 35 days with length of service), pension auto enrolment with up to 5% Employer contribution, Life Assurance, Staff discount together with continuous developments and long term career prospects as well as social events throughout the year.
The main purpose of this role is to work closely with the Financial Controller and through the Accounts team, to implement all aspects of Tazaki Foods’ finance and accounts function; assist in the management, monitoring and reporting of all aspects of the Company’s financial and fiscal affairs; assist in the reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements including taxation and annual accounts; deputise for the Financial Controller as well as contributing to the overall success of Tazaki Foods Limited.
Key Tasks/ Responsibilities:
- To manage, lead and motivate the Accounts team to carry out all tasks in full in a timely, accurate and correct fashion.
- To carry out training of Accounts staff.
- To produce monthly management accounts and information
- To produce statutory audited financial accounts
- To liaise closely with Stock Control department to ensure accuracy of stock purchased and held.
- To implement and maintain systems and procedures and improve where necessary.
- To ensure that all accounting and fiscal processes comply with relevant current legislation and accounting procedures.
- To control expenditure and review/reduce where necessary.
- Adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy
Key Deliverables:
- Accurate and on-time financial reports and management accounts on a regular and consistent basis.
- Development and management of a highly focused, well-trained and competent Accounts team.
- Strong and sound financial management.
- Development and maintenance of a strong relationship with the key suppliers of funds and financial facilities to the company.
- Development of a close working relationship with the Financial Controller.
Key Success measures:
- Monthly Management Accounts and Reports on time and accurate.
- Production of statutory financial accounts on time and accurate.
- Production of management information and analysis on time.
- Compliance with all external authorities – PAYE, VAT and Duty.
- The development, improvement and efficiency of the Accounts department .
- Internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Team performance and satisfaction.
