We want YOU to join our team! Felton Veterinary Hospital is hiring an experienced veterinary assistant to join our team of fun, talented professionals.
Our hospital team is compassionate, family-oriented, and works hard. FVH is a three doctor practice and sees primarily dogs and cats but also birds, rabbits, ferrets, and other small mammals. Our hospital offers the best of both worlds - top-notch medicine personalized to each patient and client.
We are searching for a personable and experienced individual with a strong work ethic who has a love for both animals and their humans. We believe that our assistants should use all their skills to the best of their ability. You will be rewarded for your skills, compassion, and ambition.
Our ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering the highest quality veterinary patient and client care, and possess the skills and knowledge to deliver on that passion.
The skills you will be using include, but are not limited to:
Physical examinations and patient assessment
Venipuncture
Catheter placement
Radiology
Anesthesia monitoring
Dentistry
Surgical preparation and assisting
Laboratory work
Pharmacy
Patient recovery
Client education
Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients
Only candidates working as a veterinary assistant for a minimum of 2 years will be considered. You must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
