Home Smart Energy are recruiting for an assortment of experienced Solar PV Installers; there are vacancies for experienced roofers and electricians to join our fast-growing teams, with opportunity for employed or self-employed work. Home Smart Energy has expanded rapidly in the last 12 months. More than doubling our workforce and utilities in this period.
Focusing primarily on domestic solar installations ranging from 1.5kW to 15kW in size, there is a variety of work on different types of properties.
With our head office based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex and most of our installations taking place in Sussex & Hampshire – a successful candidate will ideally be located or willing to relocate to the southeast of England.

This role requires experience within the Solar Installation Industry, roofers that have installed on different types of roof surfaces, using different hooks and have experience installing mounts and panels whilst running DC cable appropriately in line with MCS standards – being able to commission an installation.
Electrician applicants will be confident installing and commissioning systems using different models of PV, Hybrid & Storage inverters. Are comfortable with battery storage installations and configuring appropriate cable runs from the panels to the inverter unit. EV Charger installation experience would also be an advantage, but not essential.
A successful applicant will be hard working, have a keen eye for detail and have a keen initiative to complete their work to the highest possible standard.
Requirements
CIS registered
Solar Installation Experience (roofing or electrical)
Ability to commission/sign off installations.
18th Edition Electrical Certification
Eye for detail
Benefits & Expected Salary
We can offer direct guidance from our array of highly experienced and skilled installation teams to support new team members in this new position. With our contracted partnership with local council run group purchase schemes, multiple installations are available per day.
This is a full-time position working 5-days a week Monday to Friday.
Self-employed candidates can be expected to earn approx £800 per day, paid on a weekly basis.
