Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £24,496 to £26,845 per annum (Grade F) | Kings Lynn
We are looking for a Registrar to join the Registrar Service and Norfolk County Council and help deliver a vital service across the county.
Registrars are there to record all the significant events in life. They register births and deaths and take notices of marriages and civil partnerships. They conduct and register marriages and civil partnerships and offer other associated services. We need someone to join our team in King's Lynn and District to ensure this frontline service is delivered to customers effectively and efficiently.
In registration there is a lot to learn and retain and we provide thorough training for all the duties. You will be a quick learner, who can perform well under pressure and at speed and is comfortable working on their own. Applicants need to adapt well to change and be flexible as the duties may vary from week to week. The successful candidate may need to travel to offices around the county sometimes at short notice, so will hold a current driving licence and have their own transport. At this time, some services are also carried out from home. The post includes a regular Saturday with enhanced pay. Applicants must possess excellent IT skills, spelling and grammar and will need to have good inter-personal skills. Experience in a public facing role within a regulatory framework is essential. Candidates will need to demonstrate a commitment to great customer service and meet our high expectations for service delivery and teamwork.
