Due to continued success and rapid growth, The West Group are looking for Finance Administrator/Apprentice to join our company.
We will provide full training throughout the apprenticeship and you will gain an AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting (Level 2) on completion.

What will you be doing?
Reporting to and taking direction from the Finance Manager, assist with the day-to-day functioning of the finance department with the following:
- Daily communication to customers ensuring that all invoices are paid to terms.
- Perform credit checks for new and existing Customers.
- Customer account setup, negotiating payment plans and setting up terms and conditions.
- Liaising with the Sales team.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with customers both internal and external.
- Allocate incoming payments daily, phoning customers to request remittance advices when required.
- Maintain accurate activity notes within SAP.
- Ensure Bank reconciliations are completed daily.
- Performing regular account reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve any irregularities or enquiries.
What do you need?
As the ideal Finance Administrator/Apprentice, you will possess the following:
- Knowledge of Accounts and SAP B1.
- Work well in a team.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
- Familiar with accounts payable and receivable function.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Display a positive and pro-active approach to tasks.
