We now have an excellent opportunity for a D2C Manager to oversee the entire D2C logistics operations including 3PL partnerships within the US and EU, aiming to deliver high standards of customer service in the most sustainable way. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive overall performance and profitability by leading efficient and cost-effective operations.
This role is based on site in our brand new Innovation Centre in Aylesbury (HP22 5WJ) where we have a skincare suited laboratory, modern manufacturing rooms and a top efficient logistics site. This will be our hub where the best synergies can be created; where we can drive deeper research, boost innovation and maintain exceptional quality levels.
Your role in detail:
- Manage, motivate and develop the UK D2C team to operational success, in line with agreed KPIs.
- 360 management of existing US & EU 3PL partnerships, ensuring compliance with both GMP and customer lead times.
- Finalises service-level agreements with the logistics suppliers and ensures 100% adherence to the same, taking prompt corrective actions whenever required.
- Manages all in-bound and out-bound shipments across the region, coordinating with the logistics suppliers and carriers to ensure OTIF, on-brand deliveries to all customers.
- Ensures Medik8 brand values and sustainability principles are upheld in all deliveries, keeping the logistics suppliers up-to-date with our guidelines.
- Anticipates and adapts capacity as per the business needs by coordinating with the logistics suppliers, guaranteeing 100% stock accuracy and availability at all times.
- Builds strong relationships with the suppliers by engaging with them on a regular basis and adhering to the provisions of the contract at all times.
- Interact closely with other functions within the business to ensure smooth operational effectiveness.
- Identifies international transport and logistics performance trends and leads operational projects to build more sustainable and efficient practices.
- Prepares and presents regular logistics/transport reports, tracking logistics performance against KPIs.
- Ensures compliance for both general and health and safety-specific requirements in logistics operations.
- Ensure the sustainability goals of the company are being developed and met at all times.
- Monitor, measure and ensure continued high levels of service to the customer.
We would really like to hear from you, if you have..
- Educated to university degree level or equivalent professional Vocational Qualifications in Transport Planning / International CPC.
- Demonstrated operational excellence and project management experience in third-party contract logistics solutions, with a focus on warehousing and the associated cost modelling & analytics.
- Prior experience in international logistics management - exposure to pan-European and US project management is highly desirable.
- Understanding of Customs Requirements in the US & EU, including specific knowledge of import/export documentation and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to balance tasks and work with precision in a high-paced environment.
