Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Convenience Store Associate at our bus station location. The Convenience Store Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Assist customers in locating products, providing information, and answering their inquiries.
Handle customer complaints and concerns promptly, striving to provide satisfactory resolutions.
Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately.
Stocking and Merchandising:Receive and unload merchandise deliveries, ensuring accurate inventory counts.
Stock shelves, racks, and displays with products, ensuring proper organization and appealing presentation.
Monitor product expiration dates and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
Maintain adequate stock levels by restocking shelves throughout the day.
Store Maintenance and Cleaning:Ensure the store premises are clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times.
Clean and sanitize all surfaces, including shelves, coolers, cash registers, and restrooms.
Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste.
Regularly check and clean equipment, such as coffee machines, fountain drinks, and food warmers.
Cash Handling and Till Operation:Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, following established procedures.
Perform opening and closing procedures for the cash register, ensuring accurate cash counts.
Prepare daily sales reports and reconcile cash at the end of each shift.
Maintain awareness of potential theft and report any suspicious activity to the store manager.
Product Knowledge and Upkeep:Stay updated on new products, promotions, and special offers.
Ensure proper pricing and labeling of products.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or overstocks to the store manager.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-50 per week
Salary: £50.00-£100.00 per day
