The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an Electrically biased Multi-Skilled Technician to join our Maintenance Team who are responsible for maintaining site utilities, plant equipment, and building infrastructure.
The key tasks of the position are:
- Perform planned preventative maintenance in accordance with the scheduled programme
- Inspection & testing of electrical distribution boards
- Identify and perform any corrective and reactive maintenance, ensuring plant and equipment operates to its optimum
- Operate the BMS control system to assess and interrogate plant and equipment performance.
- Perform system shutdowns and isolations in accordance with a safe system of work
- Ensure work is conducted in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies/procedures and client requirements where appropriate
- Work with due regard to health & safety of self & others
- Carry out general maintenance on HVAC, piped services and utility systems
- Working on Steam Generation and Distributions Systems (training will be provided where required)
- Participate in the out of hour’s callout rota.
The Candidate
- Educated to a minimum of HNC (or equivalent), in an engineering discipline
- Electrical installation qualification and practical experience
- Electrical inspection & testing qualification and practical experience
- Mechanically and electrical building services experience
- Experience working with BMS systems
- The ability to demonstrate technical knowledge of building services
