The Allocation & Replenishment Team’s purpose is to manage the flow of stock from our depots to where our customers need it across our multiple sales channels. As an Allocation & Replenishment Assistant Merchandiser, you’ll help us to make sure that we’ve got the goods every time. As part of our ongoing strategy, we look to improve the customer offer in already established stores, as well as securing a strong stock package for new stores that are being added to our estate. You’ll be key to ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time to maximise promotional and key events availability, delivering great store launch availability & serviceability in Store Stocking Locations. This isn’t just about the numbers though, you’ll be dealing with stakeholders at all levels and in different parts of the company, so you’ll need to be a great communicator who is able to deal with challenging situations.
As an Allocation & Replenishment Assistant Merchandiser you'll:
- Own and effectively manage a portfolio of Brands - including overall brand relationships, budgets, selections and trade according to sales, stock holding, margin and availability
Execute changes in the Allocation and Replenishment systems including product set up, stocking policy changes in AIP and promotional uplifts
Execute and measure Range launch with Merchandising, including parameter recommendations
Plan, execute and measure stock builds for new stores, extensions and refurbishments (with guidance from senior team members)
Review weekly trading performance closely with Merchandising for all channels to identify stock issues / opportunities with emphasis on timely resolution
Create and manage SKU/store level demand forecasts; ensuring that they are accurate, stable and there is consensus between these and financial plan
Work within agreed forecasts to ensure sales, stock holding, margin and availability are optimised.
Manipulate category A&R parameters to manage the flow of clearance/DD stock to minimise markdown costs whilst maximising sales, stocks and availability
Support with the forecasting of seasonal events and store investments to deliver strong in store execution and to enable delivery of corporate availability, markdown, stock & sales targets
Our Allocation & Replenishment team would love to see:
Good knowledge/experience of Supply Chain and Stock Management principles/processes
Good knowledge of Excel, Word, AIP or similar replenishment systems
Good communications skills at all levels
Experience in Supply Chain / Store Stock Management / Logistics / Operations / Branch Merchandising
Demonstrable drive & commitment and willingness to learn and adapt
Good levels of planning, organisational skills and the ability to multi task
