- Purpose of role: Responsible for TGC Bar and support the Bar manager in the day to day running of the business.

- Hours: Summer 30 Hours Per Week, Winter 20 Hours Per Week.
Job Function:
The main purpose of this role is ensuring the customer receives the highest quality service, and to be responsible for the day to day running of TGC bar, ensuring that the staff are fulfilling their duties. The role also includes leasing with the Catering department where necessary ie taking booking, cleaning tables etc. The Bar Supervisor will be a hard working who doesn’t mind working the usual unsociable hours that come with the industry but a good mix of day and evening shifts. The key areas of responsibility for the role include:
Main duties and responsibilities:
To complete the opening and closing checklists and to ensure that everything on them has been done
To lock up and alarm the clubhouse providing maximum security
To ensure that the front of house areas is clean, tidy, and attractive during opening times
To produce weekly rotas following the manager’s guidelines
To place orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
To ensure that all deliveries are checked and put away promptly and correctly
To ensure waste is kept to a minimum during beverage production
To delegate where necessary and ensure the team are always pro-active
To cash up at the end of a late shift and complete beverage stock levels when required
In the absence of the Manager assist in the completion of weekly tasks and any other duties that are deemed necessary
Be always pro-active and use initiative, diplomacy, and discretion to solve any problems that may arise
Good communication skills to be able to liaise with a wide range of team members and customers within your work environment
Customer service focused
Team player and can-do attitude
Takes pride in personal appearance and hygiene
Self-motivated and able to use own initiative
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
Any other reasonable duties from your line manager
Salary and Conditions
The position is a permanent post, and subject to a three-month probationary period. The basic hours will be 20 hours per week but since the golf club is seasonal, hours in the summer months may be increased to meet the needs of the business but not seen as overtime. The Bar Supervisor will be expected to work/cover managers holiday and club functions throughout the year.
