20:30pm-06:00am
23:00pm-08:30am
16:30pm-21:30pm (Twilight)
£11 per hour
Ideal Recruit are currently looking for Parcel Sorters to join our client’s busy warehouse in Bury. The role will involve the safe handling of parcels varying in size and weight. Please note the role involves heavy lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading trailers.
- Loading the parcels on to conveyors.
- Putting the parcels in the correct department around the hub.
- Moving items to delivery pallets and assisting loaders with the stacking of items.
- Ensuring that all stored items are packed and stacked according to company standards and safety policies.
Required:
- To be physically fit, as the work will involve heavy lifting and quite a lot of walking.
- Experience using a pump truck for the large and bulky parcels.
- Experience of using heavy lifting equipment.
- Good organisation skills.
- Previous manual handling experience.
- To be able to work quickly and accurately.
- A good memory to remember where various items have been stored.
- Good level of verbal and writing English.
