Due to an exciting period of growth for our family feel accountancy firm, we are recruiting for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join our small, friendly team.
This is a permanent part-time opportunity with the potential for the role to grow with you. While hours are negotiable, this would ideally be over three days. The role will consist of providing support to the senior accountants.
We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable and organised candicate who is very much a self starter to join our practice based in Welford, Northants
Key Duties as a Senior Accounts Assistant:
- All aspects of bookkeeping.
- Maintaining both Purchase and Sales ledger.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Assisting with the preparation of VAT return.
- Setting up new client accounts.
- Working closely with the director to continuously improve processes and systems.
- Responsible for the line management of the Administration Assistant.
- Assist with ad-hoc duties and analysis
What we are looking for:
- Ideally AAT qualified
- Strong communicator with good IT skills including Excel
- The ability to multitask, whilst remaining accurate
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of accounting functions
- High attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Good IT skills
