London School of Science and Technology currently has an opportunity for a Cleaner to provide cleaning services at their Luton campus. This is a busy and demanding environment where each member of staff works together to provide a safe and secure environment for all staff and students.

Job Purpose:

The cleaner may be responsible for any or all of the following tasks. Tasks may also change during the post holder's employment.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, floors. Other floor work may be required such as: scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors.
• Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, etc.
• Dusts furniture, workstations, equipment, partitions, etc.
• Empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transports to disposal area.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture, using vacuum cleaner.
• Washes walls and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels, partitions, sills, etc.
• Report any problems/broken items to the Operations/Facilities Manager.

* Please note there is manual handling associated with this role including a high volume of physical activity associated with undertaking the cleaning duties.
