The Post:
ARHAI Scotland leads and supports efforts to prevent healthcare associated infection by means of guidance development, surveillance, operational support and training, covering areas such as surgical-site surveillance, decontamination, microbiological surveillance, research and infection prevention and control.
We are currently seeking a PA /Administrator to provide confidential administrative, secretarial and support services of the highest quality across ARHAI Scotland.
The Candidate:
Are you well organised and have good attention to detail? Someone who can proactively think two steps ahead when working in a fast-paced environment? Would you like an opportunity to enhance your administrative skills across a variety of areas? Why not consider an opportunity to work as a PA/Administrator within Antimicrobial Resistance & Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI) Scotland?
You should be educated to HNC in Office Administration or related subject, have knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages and essentially accurate minute taking skills.
We are looking for someone with an enthusiastic approach and experience in a similar role. Successful candidates must have well-developed organisational abilities and a flexible approach to working as you need to be unflappable and resilient when you need to get things done. You must also have the confidence to act on your own initiative particularly when dealing with confidential administrative duties and enquiries on behalf of the wider team.
As secretariat for multiple ARHAI meetings we need someone who has good interpersonal and communication skills as you will be interacting closely with colleagues across all teams and engaging with key stakeholders from across Scotland.

Job Description Notice of Change:
Antimicrobial Resistance & Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI) Scotland is part of National Services Scotland. The group was formally part of Health Protection Scotland within National Services Scotland but was under Public Health and Intelligence. As a result of the recent structural changes job description(s) associated with the current vacancies still reflect the Health Protection Scotland brand and structure.
Candidates are advised that all job description(s) shall be updated over the coming months to reflect ARHAI Scotland branding and organisational structure changes.
Location and Working Pattern:
Meridian Court, Glasgow.
However, it should be noted that NSS is currently in the process of relocating from Meridian Court to nearby Delta House, 50 West Nile Street Glasgow G1 2NP.
Currently hybrid working.
Work pattern - Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
