Job Description
We are looking for a creative and reliable Sous Chef to come and join the team at our operations located within the prestigious Warwick University.
The role will oversee food production for a restaurant with a grab&go section, a bar, and events. Therefore, experience in high volume and multi-site operations is highly desirable.
Part of the Warwick Arts Centre complex, this stunning restaurant offers quick turnaround food focused on wood fires over pizza, freshly made sandwiches and salads, and a selection of traditional British mains.
About the Sous Chef role:

Reporting directly with the Head Chef and deputising in their absence

Working with the Head Chef and Group Executive Chef to develop new menu ideas and ways to improve our offerings

Ensuring the food quality is at its highest standard at all times

Ensure the performance of the chef brigade is working to the highest standard by motivating and leading by example

Overseeing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control in conjunction with the Head Chef

Ensure all food safety and health and safety procedures are maintained to the highest standard
The ideal candidate:

Experience within a high volume kitchens

Strong communication skills - both verbal and written

Strong commercial awareness - i.e understanding or profit margins, purchasing, budgets, labour, food costs
