The role of a Lead Software Engineer
As our Lead Software Engineer, you play a vital role in the development of internal software whilst managing our current software suite and data integrations. In order to deliver the best service and functionality to the business you will constantly strive to improve our software and it’s reliability. As the Lead Software Engineer you help set the standard for reliable, well written and robustly tested code whilst administering various software management tools. As our development team grows, your role as Lead Software Engineer will include ensuring that the team delivers the quality work that is expected, whilst also supporting them with any ongoing professional development required.
You’ll know how to…
- Display your passion for computing and get buy in from stakeholders
- Understand software engineering fundamentals and concepts
- Successfully deliver software projects
- Proficiently use Python
- Test software, type annotations and utilise web frameworks
- Use front-end and back-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and PostgreSQL
Previous experience within the telecoms sector or knowledge of database administration, other scripting languages (Rust, C#, SQL) and enterprise integration tools would be advantageous.
