We are looking to recruit a relief support worker to join the team to support people in Hatfield, Doncaster to live a fulfilled and happy life. You will be part of a positive and supportive team who are motivated by the people we support.
The successful candidate would be working to support the waking night staff team providing cover for annual leave and sickness absence

About the Service
The Service where you will be working is inviting, happy and bubbly. We currently support three gentlemen to achieve whatever is important to them. The gentlemen we support have a range of interests.

A distinct benefit of working within this team is the rota, we have the rota completed for the whole year meaning that you will be able to plan ahead to pick up
The shifts are between 9pm and 7am.
There will be a sleep-in staff member to provide you with additional support if required
What does a Support Worker do?
As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.
- Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom.
- Supporting people to live independently – budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
- Excellent communication skills/relationship building – supporting the person to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
- Community & Social Inclusion - supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and Social events to promote life skills and individuality.
If you have never done this kind of job before then there will be lots to learn, but if you consider yourself to be caring and able to build a natural rapport with people, everything else can be taught!
