Job Title: Security Officer

Reports to: Line Manager Site Security Manager
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent
Salary: £12.47
Shift Pattern: 72 day Cycle (3 days on 3 days off)
Role:
As a representative of ISS Security based at our clients facility, all Security Officers must be physically healthy, clean and smart in appearance, possess good presence and bearing. You will be required to communicate with the general public and / or employees of our client clearly and courteously at all times. Working at a very busy highly professional and elite site, you will ensure that the client’s facility is safe and secure for all members of the public / contractors and the client at all times and will act as a first line of security response when incidents occur onsite.
Responsibilities:
Man the Security Control Room situated at the back of the Reception covering the following duties:
· Monitoring of the CCTV system when required
· Recording details of the shift in the Daily Occurrence Book
· Controlling access to the rear gate via the intercom system Take control of the Access Manager Basic Operation by creating and issuing new and temporary access cards.
. Collection of temporary and leavers access cards and deactivating from the system. Run monthly access card reports for BAM Facilities and supply to the FM team.
Undertake Gatehouse duties consisting of the following duties:
· Access control to the site for both vehicles and pedestrians
· Monitor CCTV systems
· Assist visitors with directions to the visitor car park and the reception area
· Carry out ID checks and issuing of temporary car park passes
· Maintain a high level of communication with the Security / Reception team situated at the Reception / Control Room within the main building · Complete vehicle, personnel and hand baggage searches on request Conduct regular patrols of the client premises, with this being increased out of working hours
Carry out Reception duties whilst situated at the main reception of the building consisting of the following:
· Identification checks with visitors passes being issued to visitors not in possession of a Police or BAM ID card.
· Liaising with client contacts to collect visitors from Reception
· Monitor access and egress of the building, ensuring all contractors are signed in and out of the building
· Issue and collect swipe access cards
· Answer incoming calls to reception and transfer to the relevant department where required
· Deal and attend any incidents that require security present
· Add late visitors to the ELVis system ensuring that the correct spelling is input.
. Liaise daily with BAM FM workplace teams to ensure a cohesive and efficient team approach to service delivery.
Carry out any reasonable request from ISS management, the Client and representatives of the client.
