Opportunity:
An amazing opportunity is available for a Microbiology Technician to join our Christchurch Laboratory.
As Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Routine sample testing within the given turn-around-time (TAT)
- Strictly adhere to all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance procedures
- Ensure all relevant records are kept up to date at all times
- Use aseptic technique and maintain a clean and tidy work area
This is a Permanent role working 40 hours a week and will include one weekend day. Please be advised these opportunities may require some flexibility to work overtime as the lab is functioning 7 days a week.
About you:
We would love to hear from motivated individuals with a passion for food safety and quality. Ideally you will have or be:
- Bachelor of Science majoring Microbiology or equivalent
- Experience in qPCR technology or completed studies in this area (advantages)
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Clear communications (both written and verbal)
- A passion for quality customer focus is essential
