The Mencap Trust Company's purpose is to enhance the quality of life of people with a learning disability and/or autism through delivering a high-quality, specialist trust service. We are recruiting for a new Accountant to join our small, friendly team to lead on the financial side of our work.
Prior trust accounting experience, while desirable, is not essential for a strong candidate with solid management accounting experience that is eager to learn and take on a new challenge.
The role would suit someone that is looking for a role with plenty of hand-on journaling and transaction work while also getting involved in strategic financial planning, working with Boards and liaising with third party tax advisors and investment managers.
This is a full time role. Remote working will be available with the successful candidate required to work from our central London office at least one or two days per week.
The role reports directly to the Mencap Trust Company Director and will work closely with the rest of the Mencap Trust Company team as well as the wider Mencap charity's finance team.
