We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our Bristol Harbourside location.
Society Café is a small independent group of Speciality Coffee shops based in Bath, Bristol, Oxford and Cheltenham. As well as a full set of fantastic coffee skills, we’re looking for someone who can offer impeccable customer service, has a keen eye for detail, and a positive can-do attitude.
The role will be hands-on, overseeing an exceptional level of customer service and a quality coffee offering, whilst assisting the shop Manager in all managerial duties. You will be working within a team of excellent baristas who pride themselves on doing everything on a speciality level. Passion, energy and a genuine desire to offer the very best possible experience to each customer that has chosen to visit us is essential.
The ideal candidate will have management experience within the hospitality industry, and a strong background in specialty coffee. More than anything, you will positively contribute to the overall atmosphere, the team and to the customer experience. You will be someone who thrives on positive change and is able to build and lead a team under pressure in a growing business.
You will:
Lead and inspire the team.
Manage the day to day operation of the venue and ensure the smooth running of every shift.
Be passionate about great customer service.
Have an infallible eye for detail across all areas.
Assist with rotas, and ordering for the shop.
Be responsible for the day to day Health & Safety and ensuring all Food Hygiene guidelines are maintained
Be able to serve consistently great coffee, through busy periods in the form of espresso, milk based beverages and aeropress.
Dial in coffee to a recipe, using a Malkhonig E80 GBW, Mythos One and Mahlkonig EK43s.
