We are on the hunt for a fantastic Full -Time Barista/All rounder to join the team as we open our new Cafe in St Andrews, Located within The St Andrews Museum.

The Granary Cafe At SAM is going to be a fast paced sit in or takeaway artisan cafe/coffee shop focusing quite simply on excellent coffee, great food and hospitable service. Serving premium coffee, tea and scrumptious homemade cakes alongside soups, toasties and artisan breakfast rolls or sarnies.

Owned and operated by David Stein Butchers, and within the Off World Industries Group we have a fantastic supply of fine butcher quality meats, pies and artisan sausage rolls. we also supply ourselves with artisan cakes and traybakes made at our bakery unit.

The Granary Cafe At SAM will be our Fourth opening of The Granary Cafe concept that has been a staple in the historical town of Linlithgow since 2017 and a great edition to the Bathgate community in 2022 and more recently in Dunfermline.
With a start of June opening date the successful new team members will be trained in our other cafe's to ensure they are ready to hit the ground running. Alongside our online training platform that will give you all the knowledge you need.
We need a Barista/All Rounder to assist us with - serving coffees for sit in and takeaway. Serving customers with a smile, always, and keeping rapport with our guests. Preparing grab n’ go food along with our sit in brunch inspired menu. Maintaining cleanliness throughout service, taking payments/till cashing up procedures and attend all staff meetings and training sessions
The successful team members will need to fit the following criteria:
- Positive attitude & work ethic
- Customer focused - Friendly customer service person who is at home working with the public. We are not a "No" kind of place. We are a lets see if we can help you with that kind of company.
- Basic food preparation -Experience would be an advantage, but training is given.
- Barista experience - Essential to the cafes success, working with artisan coffee would be a big advantage. But as long as your as passionate about coffee as we are we can help you.
- Efficient learner - As a company we are always looking at ways to better ourselves, We want our staff to always be striving for better. We truly believe we are only as good as our last meal or coffee.
- Work Under pressure - Able to work under pressure to a high standard.
- Sense of humor - The Granary is a fun enviroment slinging out the best coffees + food around town, we are a dynamic team in it for the love of cafes. Join us on our journey
We have a great working week the cafe will be open from 10.30am daily. Running a 7 day a week operation.
