What will you do:
As the Procurement Manager you’ll be responsible for collaborating and networking across the business and with external stakeholders, building links with key stakeholders and developing relationships with old and new.
You’ll work as the driver to identify where we do and should spend a substantial budget whilst ensuring service and quality meet cost and sustainability.
This is a role which is new to the business, ready to be shaped and is key to the continued transformation and growth. For the right person, the impact and growth opportunity is vast.
- Establish nominated suppliers that are better than market pricing and value
- Drive efficiencies and demonstrate saving against operational budgets
- Work with the function heads to understand the minimum product requirements and ensure that any nominated suppliers deliver to this standard.
- Find new ways to make the procurement process simpler, more efficient, and clearer for internal and external customers
- Work with the relevant teams to ensure brand standardisation and consistency of quality across the estate.
- Where appropriate, work with Asset Quality and Operations team on a proactive lifecycle approach to minimise reactive spend and deliver a positive customer experience
- Create policies and processes to manage and mitigate risk
Qualifications and Experience
- Knowledge of different Supply Chains and Supply Markets
- Working understand and experience of sourcing strategies.
- Experience in a similar industry role (ideal but not essential)
- Knowledge of Risk Process.
- Solid understanding of commercial law.
