Reception Manager

About you:
As a Reception Manager you will be the first point of contact within our restaurant, working with your colleagues on providing excellent services to our guests. We are looking for an excellent and confident communicator with exceptional people skills and problem-solving abilities. The successful candidate will be passionate, enthusiastic, welcoming and genuine. Informed by the authenticity of our brand and the passion we feel for our guests representing the warmth of the Greek islands and its hospitality.
You will be joining an equally passionate and talented team dedicated to curating original guest experiences in an authentic, attentive, and courteous manner. Meraki describes something done with soul, creativity and love, values that we are seeking in a new team member to take our guests on an immersive journey to the Greek islands through exceptional food, innovative drinks and unique sense of hospitality.
Responsibilities:
As a Reception Manager you will be responsible for:
- To manage the front of house team to ensure all guests receive a first class service;
- Deal quickly and professionally with feedback and complaints from guests;
- Building and maintaining key business relationship with clients and managers;
- Responsible for the reception area, admin and team management of the department;
- Rota scheduling to ensure Reception covered at all times;
- Motivating and engaging the Reception team through coaching, mentoring and team building;
- Managing multiple busy inboxes whilst leading a busy and fast paced environement.
- Manage reservations and maximize revenue by converting enquiries, recognising business prospects, and taking every opportunity to upsell.
- Analyzing booking patterns and market trends and monitor competitor performance;
- Effective management reporting on a daily, weekly and monthly basis covering revenue and covers; complimentary spend analysis; calls and covers generated...etc;
- Ensure that security process and policies are followed by team and wider business;
- To manage, meet and exceed revenue targets;
- To carry out duty management shifts;
- P and L and budgetary experience across consumables and labour;
- To support with events, newsletters and communications.
Requirements:
We are seeking for an individual who has worked in a similar role, other skills that will need to be demonstrated include:
- Confident, professional, and welcoming personality
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
- Impeccable appearance and personal grooming
- Genuine passion for hospitality
- Proficient in English language
In line with the requirements of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must either be eligible to live and work in the UK or must obtain permits to work in the UK prior to application. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.

Salary: Up to £40,000.00 per year
