Job Description
We are looking for an experienced full or part-time accounts assistant on a salary of between £28,000 - £32,000 (based on 38 hours p/w, pro-rata for part-time).
The position would suit someone who is part or fully qualified in a recognised accounting body with at least 2 years' experience working within a practice environment.
We are also happy to hire someone who is qualified by experience only.
Our core opening hours are Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm and Friday 9am - 4pm but there is some flexibility for someone full-time to WFH 2 days a week.
Maybe you are an experienced accountants assistant who only wants to work school hours or 2/3 days per week or a parent returning to work - we are flexible for the right candidate so please contact us with your desired hours and days.
Requirements are as follows:
Essential skills:
- Experience of working in an accountancy practice
- Be able to prepare year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Excellent knowledge of excel
- Experience of using accounting packages such as VT and XERO.
- Liaising with clients
- Answering telephone calls and dealing with client queries as required
